Food Photographer

Food photography for global brand in the studio hertfordshire food photographer

Over the past 36 years (yes 36 years....!) of commercial photography my main subjects have been people, products as well as lots of FOOD, both stills and now video.

I have been featured on the BBC One Show (food photography tricks) and also as a guest photographer on Ready Steady Cook. Shot big brands such Old ElPaso, PG Tips, Ocado, Unilever, Premier Foods and Old El Paso v among many others.

STUDIO
Being a converted chapel my studio has a wonderfully creative atmosphere, the victorian building contrasting nicely with high end cameras and sophisticated lighting. There is plenty of room for food photography and a very high ceiling for all those over the top shots.

Plus it has a separate kitchen in which I have shot several cooking videos to great effect. And outdoor space with grape vine!

LIGHTING
Lots, to the point of being a rather excessive, I just love lighting….. Spotlights, soft lights, projector lights, box lights, mini lights, big lights…….

KITCHEN
The modern styled kitchen has two ovens, induction hob, fridge, freezer and a nice spacious worktop for food preparation. There are also lots of cooking utensils, pans and other necessary equipment to use.
The ceiling is relatively high and the space is big enough to shoot both stills and video.

PROPS
I have lots of props for food photography including various wooden, painted and metal backgrounds, plates, pots, dishes, pans and those essential items that are good to have at hand. Also a good selection of coloured paper backgrounds rolls and sheets are kept in the studio.

REFRESHMENTS
Lastly, not forgetting the bean to cup coffee machine which I keep well stocked with excellent single origin 100% Organic 100% Fairtrade coffee. 🙂
