My photo of 'Summer Tea' cakes that I took for renowned chef Danielle Maupertuis has been shortlisted in the Food section of the British Photography Awards, a prestigious charity-oriented photography competition. Last year over £700,000 was raised for the wildlife Trust, in addition to donations to several other charities.
Food photo shortlisted in The British Photography Awards competition

The image is of some delicious cakes that Danielle Maupertuis has created for her new recipe book (out soon) on vegan afternoon teas and depicts her 'Summer Tea'. As always Danielle like the un-conventional so I needed to think up something eye catching and not your standard food photograph, something that would stand out from other food photography and at the same time be true to Danielles character and brand. The final idea was a modern look with white plinths accompanied by some wild and not so wild flowers, lit using a hard light to give it a 'sunlight' feel.
Time was against us on the day as the flowers were wilting and the cakes melting but fortunately all went well 😊
